Robert D. Skelton (Swimming, 1920)
Robert Skelton was an outstanding swimmer in the '20s, competing on the Northwestern swimming and diving team. His career reached a pinnacle when he won a gold medal in the 200-meter breaststroke at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games, and he became the first American to set a world record for the 200-meter breaststroke.
