Joseph Reiff (Basketball, 1931-33)
A 6'3 center who twice led the league in scoring, Reiff led the Wildcats to their first Big Ten basketball championship as a sophomore in 1931, helping Northwestern post an 11-1 record in league play. In 1933, Reiff culminated his career by being named to the All-America team for the second time.
After his successful career at NU, Reiff played for Rosenberg-Avery of Chicago in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), and he earned a spot on the All-AAU team. Reiff also later refereed basketball games in the Western Conference from 1937 to 1947.
