Max Morris (Basketball, Football, Track, 1945-47)

Morris was an All-American in football and basketball. He set a Big Ten single-game record with 158 receiving yards in 1945 against Minnesota, and he led the Big Ten in scoring in 1945 and 1946.

He played professional football with the Chicago Rockets and the Brooklyn Dodgers for three years, and spent four seasons in the NBL and NBA with the Chicago American gears and Sheboygan Red Skins. He totaled 53 receptions for 677 yards in his 39 professional football games.

Morris is the last Northwestern All-American male athlete in two different sports.
