BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - No. 50 Northwestern women's tennis (13-12, 6-7 Big Ten) swept its final weekend of regular season action, defeating both No. 60 Purdue and Indiana on the road. The wins secured the 'Cats' spot in the Big Ten Tournament, which is set to begin on Wednesday, April 23, in Ojai, Calif.

The weekend began in West Lafayette, where Northwestern faced off with No. 60 Purdue (11-9, 5-8 5-8 Big Ten) on Saturday afternoon. The Boilermakers earned the first point of the match with doubles victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, but Northwestern responded with four singles wins to take the 4-1 victory.

Britany Lau was the first Wildcat to finish, evening the team score with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles. After her, Autumn Rabjohns put the 'Cats on top with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the No. 6 spot. Sydney Pratt then followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win of her own at No. 4 singles. Kiley Rabjohns provided the final push at No. 5 singles, where she took down her opponent 6-3, 7-5 to clinch match point for Northwestern.

Action continued for the 'Cats on Sunday afternoon in Bloomington, where they took on Indiana (8-15, 2-11 Big Ten). This time, Northwestern was first on the board, winning both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the match's first point. Kiley Rabjohns and Lau won 6-2 ahead of Mika Dagan Fruchtman and Erica Jessel, who won 7-5.

In singles play, Pratt picked up her second win of the weekend, taking another victory in straight sets at the No. 4 position (6-3, 7-5). Autumn Rabjohns also made it a 2-0 roadtrip with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) win at No. 6 singles. With Indiana taking the win at the No. 1 spot and the remaining three matches all reaching third sets, it was Neena Feldman who delivered match point. Her 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 win - the first of her career at No. 2 singles - locked up a 4-2 team victory for Northwestern.

With the pair of wins, the 'Cats secured their spot in the 2025 Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament, which will be held in Ojai, Calif., beginning this Wednesday. Northwestern will enter postseason play as the tournament's No. 10 seed, and will face No. 7 seed Illinois in a first-round matchup at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday, April 23.
