EVANSTON, Ill. (November 11, 2025) – In an announcement made by the Haskins Foundation, Northwestern first-year Arianna Lau has been named to the final fall watch list for the ANNIKA Award.

Since making her debut in September, Lau has enjoyed a terrific start to her collegiate career, pacing the Wildcats with a stroke average of 70.96 to close the fall slate. Lau currently leads the team with nine rounds under par and three top-10 finishes in five events.

After initially being named to the preseason watch list for the ANNIKA Award, Lau made her debut at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, where she came in under par in all three rounds to place in a share of fifth. Lau finished the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in a share of fifth place and was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week as a result.

Returning home to Illinois, Lau picked up another top-10 finish with a share of 9th at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Lake Bluff before following it up with 6th place at the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Glen View Club. Lau finished the event at four-under-par, draining a pressure packed putt on the 18th hole to clinch a share of the team title for the Wildcats and was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time in her career.

Lau paced the 'Cats at the Stanford Intercollegiate at one-under-par, firing a four-under 67 in her first round for her lowest score of the fall season to finish in 20th.

Competing at the rain-shortened East Lake Cup, Lau fired a 38 in nine holes to place in 12th as Northwestern captured the three seed for match play the following day. In their matchup against USC, Lau triumphed on the 19th hole as the match went to a playoff, with Northwestern taking a decisive 4-1 victory over the Trojans.

Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female Division 1 collegiate golfer; the winner is voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer.
