BELLEAIR, Fla. (October 20, 2025) – After graduating as a national champion, Northwestern graduate Lauryn Nguyen will make her LPGA debut at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, hosted at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
Running from November 13-16, Nguyen will be competing on a sponsor invitation, while the entire Northwestern women's golf team will be in attendance as guests of Annika Sorenstam. In addition, Nguyen will be competing in the Pro-Am on November 12 and will be paired with Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark.
"I'm speechless. This is so amazing that I will be able to start my professional career playing in a pro-am with Caitlin Clark in a tournament named in honor of Annika," Nguyen said. "I'm super thankful to Gainbridge for believing in me. I'm so excited to get to meet her and make my LPGA Tour debut."
First joining the Wildcats in 2021, Nguyen recently capped off a four-year career as a two-time All-American, a four-time All-Big Ten player, and a four-time Academic All-American, in addition to two collegiate victories. Nguyen ended her stay in Evanston with the lowest career scoring average in program history and was a key contributor towards the program's first-ever national championship.
First contested in 2020, Sorenstam joined the event as a host in 2023, with the event consistently drawing some of the LPGA's top talent. This year's field for the LPGA's penultimate event features some of the top names in women's golf, with the likes of Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's champion in Nelly Korda.
