Madison Taylor and Sammy White Named USA Lacrosse Preseason Award Winners

EVANSTON, Ill. – USA Lacrosse has named Madison Taylor as Preseason Player of the Year and Preseason Attacker of the Year. Sammy White has been recognized as Preseason Defender of the Year.
Taylor, a junior attacker from Wantagh, N.Y., was a 2024 Tewaaraton finalist, First Team All-Big Ten, and IWLCA All-American. She finished third in Division I with 83 goals and 116 points, ranking sixth nationally with 5.52 points per game. Taylor also placed fifth in the Big Ten with 1.6 assists per game and eighth with 74 draw controls, starting all 21 games for the Wildcats.
White, a senior defender from Timonium, Md., earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024. After recovering from an injury, she appeared in 16 games, recording 24 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers, and 38 draw controls.
