‘Cats open home league slate against Washington on December 28
EVANSTON, Ill. (September 19, 2024) – After announcing its non-conference schedule in July, Northwestern women's basketball learned the path it will take through Big Ten Conference play following the release of the 2024-25 schedule by the league office on Thursday. Head coach Joe McKeown's team will raise the curtain on its Big Ten slate on the road at Michigan on December 8.
After taking on the Wolverines, Northwestern resumes conference action when it hosts Washington (Dec. 28) and Oregon (Dec. 31) inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. The 'Cats hit the road to battle Ohio State on January 5 before returning home three days later to entertain Indiana (Jan. 8).
McKeown's crew will escape the Chicagoland winter cold and jet west for a pair of matchups in The Golden State in mid-January, battling UCLA (Jan. 12) and USC (Jan. 15). Back-to-back home matchups follow, with Minnesota (Jan. 19) and in-state rival Illinois (Jan. 23) making their way to Evanston. A road tilt with 2024 National Runner-Up Iowa (Jan. 28) closes out the month of January.
February opens with clashes against Michigan State (February 2) and Penn State (February 9) bookending a trip downstate to Illinois on February 6. Following their matchup with the Nittany Lions, the 'Cats will play three of their next four matchups away from home, a stretch that begins with road games versus Purdue (Feb. 12) and Rutgers (Feb. 17). Maryland comes to town on February 20 before Northwestern packs its bags again, this time to trek north for a contest at Wisconsin (Feb. 23). The regular season concludes on March 2 when Nebraska pays a visit to Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. will serve as the host site for the 2024 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, March 5-9.
General Admission Season tickets are available by clicking HERE and start at just $99 for adults and $49 for youth.
