Wildcats Celebrate Three Selections to CSC Academic All-American Teams

Evanston, Ill. - Northwestern University proudly announces that three student-athletes have been named to the 2023-24 Academic All-America® Women's At-Large teams by College Sports Communicators (CSC). These accolades highlight the exceptional academic and athletic achievements of our Wildcats.

Annabel Skubisz, a standout from Houston, Texas (The Kinkaid School), earned her place on the second team after an extraordinary season with Northwestern Field Hockey. As a goalkeeper, Skubisz set a program record with 13 shutouts, leading the Wildcats to their third consecutive National Championship appearance. Her stellar performance earned her the titles of inaugural Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year, Big Ten Tournament MVP, and garnered All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors. Skubisz majors in  in Economics & Data Science.

Representing Northwestern Lacrosse, Erin Coykendall from Spencerport, N.Y. (Spencerport), also made the second team. She concluded her tenure in Evanston with an exceptional 2024 season, securing her second consecutive First Team All-American selection. Her 57 assists led the Big Ten and set a personal single-season record, ranking fourth in Northwestern's history. With a career total of 197 assists, Coykendall stands second in the program's history. She majors in Sports Administration.

Carleigh Mahoney, also from Northwestern Lacrosse, hails from Mendham, N.J. (West Morris Mendham) and earned a spot on the third team. She played a pivotal role in Northwestern's journey to their second consecutive National Championship game. Starting 20 games, she was instrumental in fortifying one of the nation's top defenses. Her 33 caused turnovers this season ranked sixth in the Big Ten, 48th nationally, and second on the team, trailing only Kendall Halpern (35). Mahoney majors in Learning & Organizational Change.
