ROSEMONT, Ill. – Jackson Freeman has been named to the Big Ten's All-Freshman Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Freeman earns the All-Freshman team honors after a standout rookie campaign, mashing a team-high 11 home runs, tied for third-most by any freshman in the conference. Eight of Freeman's long balls came in conference play, the third-most by any Big Ten player and tied for the most by any freshman. The Ladera Ranch, California native's 11 home runs are the most by a Wildcat since at least 1980.

In the field, Freeman made several highlight reel plays, earning SportsCenter Top 10 recognition for his catch against Eastern Illinois.

Freeman started all 52 games for the Wildcats, the most starts by a Northwestern first-year since Alex Erro started 55 games in 2017. Freeman is the first NU first-year to start every game in a full season since Jack Dunn started all 54 games in 2016.

Matt McClure was named Northwestern's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient.
