Northwestern Punches Ticket to NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern has earned a spot in the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament for the 24th time in 25 seasons under Head Coach Claire Pollard. The 'Cats head to Pepperdine to face Arizona State in the First Round.

Pepperdine and SIUE round out the regional. The winners of the two matches will face off with super regional berth on the line. The winner of the super regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma. 

Northwestern posted a 18-6 record in the regular season, with a 9-2 record in Big Ten play. In the Big Ten Tournament, the No. 3-seed 'Cats claimed a 4-3 win over Nebraska, advancing to the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals, where they bowed out in a 4-1 defeat to Ohio State. 

Northwestern's 19 wins are its most in a single-season since 2021 (19). NU's 9-2 conference record was its best since they posted a 13-3 record in 2021.
