Comeback 'Cats Walk off Maryland in Series Opener

Maryland added on in the top of the fourth with as bases-loaded RBI double by Jacob Orr, extending its lead to 4-0. In the bottom half of the frame, Northwestern cut the deficit in half on a two-run home run by Trent Liolios, bringing Bennett Markinson around to score.
The Terrapins added a run in the top of the fifth, plating a run on a sacrifice bunt by Elijah Lambros to extend their lead to 5-2. Freeman opened the bottom of the eighth with a single, which Bennett Markinson followed with a double, putting runners on second and third with nobody out for the 'Cats in the eighth. Vince Bianchina chipped away at the deficit with a sacrifice fly to center field, advancing Markinson to third and making it a one-run ballgame.
