Northwestern Announces Cody Jefferis as Director of Baseball Operations

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Baseball announced that Cody Jefferis has joined its staff as Director of Baseball Operations. Jefferis previously served as Director of Player Development at Michigan prior to his arrival in Evanston.
The Santa Clarita, California native started his collegiate career at San Diego, where he played four seasons. Jefferis earned WCC All-Freshman Team honors during his rookie campaign in 2019. He also earned Second Team All-WCC honors in 2021 and was selected to the 2022 WCC All-Tournament Team.
Jefferis wrapped up his collegiate career with one season at Michigan, where he started all 56 games at shortstop for the Wolverines. He reached base safely in 26 consecutive games and led the team with 17 multi-hit games in the 2023 campaign.
At San Diego, he was also a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award, which honors a student athlete's excellence in community, classroom, character and competition.
After graduating with a Communication Studies degree from the University of San Diego, Jefferis attended graduate school at Michigan, earning his degree in Social Work. During his time in Ann Arbor, he was named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and received Academic All-Big Ten recognition.
