EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern was unable to net the equalizer in a 1-0 setback against UCLA on Thursday night at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.

The loss dropped Northwestern's record to 5-7-3 overall and 0-5-2 in Big Ten play.

How it Happened
UCLA dominated the game's early stages, taking a 1-0 lead on a 40th minute strike from distance by Maya Evans, her first goal of the season. The Bruins took the 1-0 lead into the intermission, along with a 10-0 edge in shots.

The Wildcats responded to create some chances in the second half, but were unable to level the scoreline. The 'Cats held the Bruins without a shot in the second half, outshooting UCLA in the game's final 45 minutes.

Northwestern returns to action for Senior Day on Sunday, October 13 at 1 p.m. CT on B1G+. This article created using technology provided by Data Skrive.
