HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina -- No. 19 Northwestern will take on one of the deepest fields in women's college golf at the 2023 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club beginning Monday, February 27 at 10:10am ET. Live coverage of the event will air on Golf Channel from 1:30-4:30pm CT on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The field in South Carolina includes six of the nation's Top-10 teams in this week's Golfstat rankings, nine of the Top-15, and 15 of the 18 schools on the leaderboard are ranked in the Top-32.

1. Lauryn Nguyen (Sophomore; Seattle, WA) finished T6 and T5 in her first two events of 2023, including program-record 64 in the second round of the UCF Challenge … 2022 Big Ten Freshman of the Year … Has 11 Top-25 finishes in 16 career events … was the 'Cats top finisher in the 2022 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (T16; 73-72-72=218 [+5]).
2. Dianna Lee (First-year; San Diego, CA) has recorded back-to-back Top-10s to open the 2023 schedule, finishing 8th in Orlando at the UCF Challenge and and 10th in Melbourne at the Moon Golf Invitational this month.
3. Jieni Li (Junior; Hangzhou, China) has carded ten consecutive par-or-better rounds stretching back to October, and three straight Top-17 finishes … was the Wildcats top performer at the 2022 NCAA Stanford Regional (T10; 72-68-73=213 [E]) … is currently interning in the Northwestern Athletics marketing department … competed in the 2022 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
4. Kelly Sim (Graduate student; Edgewater, NJ) won the 2021 PING/ASU Invitational (69-70-72=211 [-5]) … led wire-to-wire to win the 2020 Bruin/Wave Invitational (67-69-75=211 [-5]) … has recorded nine Top-10 and 24 Top-25 career finishes … has played 128 career collegiate rounds … Was NU's top finisher at the 2019 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (T12; 73-71-73=217 [+4]) … also competed in the 2020 and 2022 tournaments at Long Cove.
5. Jennifer Cai (Junior; Irvine, CA) earned 2022 First Team All-Big Ten honors … was Northwestern's top finisher at the 2022 Big Ten Championships (T3; 71-68-72=211 [-2]) … capped the 2021-22 season with four consecutive Top-20 results … competed in the 2022 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
IND. Irene Kim (Senior; La Palma, CA) was the 2021 Big Ten Player of the Year … 2021 All-American … won the 2020 Lady Puerto Rico Classic (69-71-67=207 [-9]) … won the 2021 Palmer Cup at Rich Harvest Farms as a member of Team USA … competed at the 2022 Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship … competed in the 2020 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
The Wildcats have roared out of the gate in 2023, setting multiple program scoring records in a Top-3 finish at the UCF Challenge and then earning a runner-up result at the Moon Golf Invitational last weekend.
This is Northwestern's fourth trip to the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, with the program's top finish coming in 2018, along with appearances in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
