EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern's 2022-23 schedule is set following Wednesday's announcement of the Big Ten conference schedule.

The Wildcats' 29 game slate includes 18 conference matchups and 11 nonconference games.  The 'Cats will host 17 games at Welsh-Ryan Arena this season, nine of which will come against Big Ten opponents.

Northwestern kicks off its campaign with an exhibition against Parkside at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Nov. 1, before heading to the west coast to take on Oregon in the first game of the season on Nov. 7.

Joe McKeown's squad then returns home for a five-game homestand where they will take on Penn (Nov. 13), Notre Dame (Nov. 16), SIU (Nov. 19), Niagara (Nov. 22), and Valparaiso (Nov. 27). The 'Cats then travel to take on Duke in the ACC/B1G Challenge on Dec. 1.

Northwestern kicks off its conference schedule on Dec. 4 in Ann Arbor against Michigan, before closing out its nonconference schedule against DePaul, UIC, Air Force, and Chicago State.

The 'Cats' gauntlet of 17-straight Big Ten contests starts on Dec. 28 against Ohio State at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Chicago's Big Ten Team will take on rivals Illinois away on Jan. 5 and home on Jan. 22, as well as reigning Big Ten Tournament champion Iowa on Jan. 11 in Iowa City.

The Wildcats host Wisconsin on Feb. 23 for Senior Day and close out the regular season at Nebraska on Feb. 26.

Northwestern returns four of its six players to eclipse 500 minutes last season, including Laya Hartman, Courtney Shaw, Jillian Brown, and Caileigh Walsh. Graduate student Sydney Wood returns to the Wildcats for a fifth season after having her 2021-22 campaign cut short following just four games.

The 'Cats welcome three first-years in Alana Goodchild (Sydney, Australia), Caroline Lau (Westport, Conn.), and Lauren Trumpy (Camp Hill, Penn.), as well as new assistant coaches Maggie Lyon (NU '16) and Brittany Johnson.
