'Cats Open Big Ten Play With Series Win Over Indiana

The high-powered Wildcat offense has scored 10+ runs in six of their last nine games.
JC Santini got the Wildcats on the board with a second-inning grand slam, his second homer in a Northwestern uniform.
Ethan O'Donnell continued his hot streak with a 3-for-5 day, including a double and home run, and four RBI. The reigning Big Ten Player of the Week showed no signs of slowing down this weekend, going 9-for-16 with five extra base hits to raise his season average to .368.
Anthony Calarco doubled and drove in three runs, while Stephen Hrustich notched a two-run double.
First-year Grant Comstock got the start for the 'Cats, allowing two runs in 3.2 innings. Senior Parker Hanks made his first appearance of the season, allowing just one hit in an effective 1.1 innings of relief.
Northwestern heads back to Rocky and Berenice Miller Park on Tuesday to host UIC at 3 p.m. CT.
