'Cats Wrap Regular Season at No. 23 Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Northwestern fell 4-1 to No. 23 Michigan on Sunday afternoon on the road.
The 'Cats moved to 13-8 overall and finished the Big Ten regular season with an 8-3 record. They finished in a tie for third in the Big Ten and received the third overall seed in the Big Ten Tournament.
Michigan improved to 10-1 in the Big Ten and holds the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.
The Wildcats narrowly lost the doubles point after Clarissa Hand and Maria Shusharina won 6-3 at No. 1, and the No. 2 and No. 3 spots fell in tiebreaks.
Ema Lazic won her singles match, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4.
The 'Cats are back in action on Friday at noon in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals in Iowa City.
