Women's Basketball Celebrates Black History Month in 2022

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern women's basketball program has planned a series of initiatives in celebration of Black History Month that aim to educate, empower and impact.
The program will celebrate Black History Month with a social media campaign that will highlight some of the outstanding accomplishments and unique stories of our student-athletes both past and present. The social media campaign will be hosted on the team's Twitter, and Instagram throughout February alongside team-exclusive opportunities and events.
Black History Month is an opportunity to celebrate Black alumni from the program and highlight their excellence and what they are doing in the Black community. It is also a prescient time to share student-athletes' thoughts on what the month means for them, and why it is important to celebrate Blackness.
The Wildcats will roll out their #BlackHistoryMonth2022 campaign starting on Wednesday, Feb, 9. Be sure to follow the team on all accounts for updates and posts through the next few weeks.
This release will serve as a landing page for all of the content shared on the team's social platforms.
