EVANSTON, Ill. –– Northwestern Men's Soccer (2-7-4, 0-4-2 B1G) pauses Big Ten play when it hosts Horizon League foe Milwaukee (1-7-5, 0-3-3 Horizon) on Wednesday night at Martin Stadium. The match kicks off at 7 p.m. CT on B1G+ and admission is free to all fans. 

Last time out, the Wildcats fell at No. 15 Ohio State 2-1. The Buckeyes were awarded a penalty kick in the 55th minute. Christian Garner made the initial save, but Anthony Samways scored the rebound to give the Buckeyes a 1-0 lead. In the 67th minute, Jason Gajadhar scored the third goal of his career to level the score at 1-1. Ohio State was awarded another penalty kick in the 80th minute and converted to take a 2-1 lead for good.

'Cat Facts The Milwaukee Panthers will mark the first of two conscutive opponents from the state of Wisconsin for the Wildcats. Northwestern will be the first non-conference opponent for the Panthers in almost a month, since falling to Marquette on September 20. The Panthers have drawn three of their last four, earning a point against Wright State (2-2), IUPUI (2-2), and Green Bay (1-1), before falling to Detroit Mercy (2-0). With five draws this season, Milwaukee has already tied the program record for draws. The Panthers are powered offensively by Logan Farrington who leads the team with 5 goals this season. Nick Chiappa and Gijs Van Schouten have shared goalkeeping responsibilities this season, with Van Schouten getting the primary share of minutes in recent weeks. 

The Panthers lead the all-time series 14-3-1, but NU won the most recent meeting 2-0 on September 16, 2012.

Northwestern continues its final homestand of the regular season when it hosts Wisconsin for Senior Day on Sunday, October 23. The game kicks off at 3 p.m. and will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.
