EVANSTON, Ill. — No. 24 Northwestern continues through the heart of its Big Ten schedule this weekend when the No. 13 Nebraska Cornhuskers come to Evanston. The dual starts Sunday at 2 p.m. CT inside Welsh-Ryan Arena.

The Wildcats bring some of the top wrestlers in the nation into their showdown against the Huskers, with four ranked in the top-15 of their respective weight classes and eight ranked in the top-30.

Senior Michael DeAugustino, now ranked No. 11 in the 125-pound weight class, has already stacked up two top-five wins to start conference play. He toppled Wisconsin's then-No. 4 Eric Barnett in a 9-5 decision earlier this month, then two days later prevailed 8-7 via decision over Minnesota's then-No. 5 Patrick McKee. DeAugustino has qualified for the NCAA Championships in each of the last two seasons, and he is well positioned to continue making a splash in the national scene this season.

No. 9 Chris Cannon has also torn through the start of the Big Ten slate, and maintains a perfect 10-0 record in dual meets as a Wildcat dating back to last season. The 133-pound redshirt sophomore picked up two top-25 wins against Wisconsin and Minnesota with a 4-0 decision over then-No. 25 Kyle Berwick and a 6-3 decision over then-No. 25 Jake Gliva. He also took care of business last week with No. 2 Iowa in town, securing a 4-3 decision. Cannon earned All-American honors as a redshirt-first year last season, his first wrestling in the Northwestern lineup, and went on to place seventh at the NCAA Championships.

Ryan Deakin has dominated the Big Ten since he arrived in Evanston in 2016. Back as a graduate student this year, the No. 2 ranked wrestler in the 157-pound class won the CKLV Invitational with a perfect 5-0 record at the competition. On the road at Wisconsin, the Badgers never stood a chance as he toppled then-No. 33 Garrett Model in an 8-3 decision. He has rested the last two duals with Minnesota and Iowa.

Wrestling as a heavyweight this year, No. 14 Lucas Davison has found his groove in a new weight class. After securing a major decision versus SIUE and a decision against Virginia, the redshirt junior picked up a top-five against Wisconsin, taking down then-No. 5 Trent Hillger by decision 4-3. Davison could be set for another exciting test this weekend, potentially matching up with Nebraska's No. 11 Christian Lance.

Chicago's Big Ten Team will look to keep these strong performances rolling on Sunday. Live coverage will be broadcast on B1G+ at 2 pm CT.
