No. 13 Wildcats Handle No. 10 Oklahoma State in 4-0 Win

The 'Cats received a crucial doubles point and a win at singles from Caroline Pozo in a 6-0, 6-0 double bagel to secure the overall match victory. The Cowgirls fielded a shorthanded lineup giving Northwestern automatic points at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
In doubles, Clarissa Hand and Maria Shusharina got things started with a comprehensive 6-1 win. Christina Hand and Briana Crowley delivered a 7-5 win to secure the point.
While the match was called after Pozo's speedy win, the Wildcats had promising results brewing in the singles matchups. Clarissa Hand was up a set 6-3 on No. 77 Ayumi Miyamoto while Maria Shusharina was locked in a tight 5-5 battle with No. 24 Bunyawi Thamchaiwat. Briana Crowley had also secured a set, 6-4, against Daniella Medvedeva.
The Wildcats close the weekend in Stillwater against No. 9 Ohio State in an exciting precursor to the upcoming Big Ten season. The match starts at noon CT.
