'Cats Earn Academic Recognition from ITA

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern women's tennis and four members of the program earned academic recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
As a group, the Wildcats earned ITA All-Academic Team honors. The award is given to programs with a team grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Senior Julie Byrne, juniors Inci Ogut and Caroline Pozo and sophomore Vanessa Streng were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. To receive the scholar-athlete honors, an individual must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
