EVANSTON, Ill. – Junior guard Lindsey Pulliam was named an AP All-America Honorable Mention by the AP Top 25 voters on Thursday.
Pulliam collected yet another honor in her third campaign in Evanston. She was named a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten first team by both the coaches and media at the start of March.
Pulliam is the first All-American at Northwestern since Nia Coffey was an honorable mention by the AP in both 2016 and 2017. Pulliam is the fourth All-American by the AP and the seventh total factoring in the American Women's Sports Federation All-America selections in the 1980s.
The Silver Spring, Md. native averaged career-highs across the board with 18.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Pulliam led the Big Ten with nine games in which she scored 25 or more points. She also improved her three-point shooting over 15 percentage points from her sophomore season.
She scored 563 points on the season, the tenth-most in a season in program history. After three years, her career point total stands at 1,637, just three away from the top-ten all-time scoring list.
Pulliam was one of four Big Ten players to earn All-America recognition from the AP.
