Joe McKeown wins IBCA Coach of the Year Award for 2019-20 Season

EVANSTON, Ill – Head Coach Joe McKeown was named IBCA 2019-20 Coach of the Year.
Last season, McKeown led the 'Cats to their highest single season win total, 26, and highest single season Big Ten win total, 16.
The Wildcats were poised to make the NCAA Tournament after winning a share of the Big Ten regular season title which they shared with Maryland.
Coach McKeown's Wildcats climbed as high as No. 11 in the AP Polls last season; the highest Northwestern has been ranked since December of 1991.
The 'Cats are already ranked No. 15 this season after being ranked No. 17 in the preseason, their highest preseason ranking in school history.
Northwestern is 208-177 during McKeown's 12-year tenure with a winning percentage of 54%.
McKeown and the 'Cats are scheduled to start the season at Welsh-Ryan Arena Tuesday, December 10 against the Eastern Illinois Panthers. The Wildcats have played 12 games against the Panthers in school history and have won all 12 of those matchups.
