Wildcats Move up to No. 15 in AP Poll

EVANSTON, Ill. The Northwestern Wildcats moved up in the latest AP Poll released on Sunday. The 'Cats now sit ranked No. 15 in the country up from their preseason position of No. 17.
 
The 'Cats are only one of only two teams to be ranked in the Top 25 without playing any games thus far. The Connecticut Huskies are the other team yet to play this season sitting ranked No. 3 in the poll.
 
Northwestern is joined by four other Big Ten Teams, Michigan at No. 24, Ohio State at No. 19, Maryland at No. 14, and Indiana who is ranked No. 13. Northwestern sits just two slots below Indiana, the highest ranked Big Ten women's basketball team.
 
The Wildcats are set to start their season at home in Welsh-Ryan Arena on Thursday, December 10 against the Eastern Illinois Panthers.
