'Cats Ready for #11 Louisville

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's and women's swimming and diving are set to host #11/#11 Louisville on Thursday evening before competing in the NASA Invite in the Norris Aquatic Center this weekend.
The Wildcats' last weekend of competition wrapped with the women gaining decisive victories over Arizona, Northern Arizona, and #21 Arizona State. The men fell just short to Arizona and #12 Arizona State.
NU finished the weekend with 31 individual event wins. Notable results included first-year Federico Burdisso finishing first in the 100 fly in his collegiate opening against Arizona and sophomore Miriam Guevara winning the women's 100 fly to lead the 'Cats sweep of the event. Senior DJ Hwang set a season-best time 9:15:94 to capture the Wildcats first win against Arizona State, out-touching his competition by almost 10 seconds.
The trio of junior Calypso Sheridan, first-year Hannah Brunzell and Guevara combined for 10 individual event win and four first-place relay finishes over the two meets.
Chicago's Big Ten Team is set to face off against Louisville on January 9th at 6 p.m. in the Norris Aquatic Center. The last time these two teams matched up, both teams fell in tight contests ing Lousiville.
The NASA Invite will kick off at 9:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with the finals beginning at 5:30 p.m. each day. There will be no team scoring in the meet.
