Bartolotto, Osterlund Qualify for Team USA at USATF XC Championships

SAN DIEGO, CA. - The Northwestern Wildcats continued their recent run of success in 2020 with a strong showing at the USATF Cross Country Championships highlighted by two first-years, Kalea Bartolotto and Abby Osterlund, earning their spot on Team USA.
Bartolotto led the Wildcats in 6K race with a third place finish, crossing the finish line with a 23:09.5 time. Behind her was Osterlund who placed sixth with a time of 23:24.9. The duo will compete for Team USA at the 2020 Pan Am Cross Country Championship held on February 29 in Victoria, Canada. This is the second consecutive season Northwestern has had a Wildcat qualify for Team USA.
Two other #B1GCats placed in the top 10: first year Kayla Fortino (9th) and Kayla Byrne (10th).
Next up, the Wildats will continue their indoor track season at the Power Five Invitational in Ann Arbor, MI. on Jan. 31.
