Big Ten Announces 2019-20 Women's Basketball Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill.— With the release of the league slate by the Big Ten conference, the 2019-20 Northwestern Women's Basketball schedule is set.

Northwestern and its league counterparts will again play an 18-game conference schedule. The Wildcats will open Big Ten play on the road against Illinois on Dec. 28 and host Maryland in Welsh-Ryan Arena on Dec. 31.
The Wildcats' conference slate includes five home-and-home series. The 'Cats will also play four schools just once at home and four additional programs just once on the road.
NU will battle Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, Michigan and Penn State in home-and-home series during the upcoming campaign.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will also host Iowa, Purdue, Nebraska and Rutgers at Welsh-Ryan Arena, while the 'Cats lone matchups with Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio State will take place on the road.
The Wildcats announced their non-conference opponents in July. Following an exhibition contest on Nov. 6 versus Lewis, the Wildcats begin the 2019-20 campaign at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Nov. 10 against Loyola Maryland. Northwestern returns from a two-game road trip for six game homestand starting on Nov. 21 against Valpo.
Game times and TV assignments for the 2019-20 schedule will be released at a later date.
