EVANSTON, Il. - Northwestern women's fencing head coach Zach Moss announced on Monday the addition of four newcomers to the Class of 2023.

Anna Biasco (Foil //Lake Forest, Il.), Blowdwen Bindas (Épée//Fair Haven, N.J.) Hannah Maduro Marques (Saber//Panama City, Panama) and Celia Crompton (Franklin, MI.) will join the Wildcats this fall along with the four other newcomers announced earlier this spring.

"I am very excited to add this group to our program. We are coming off of  a great season and these young women are a terrific fit for the culture that our returning fencers have created," said Moss. "They are coming from all over and bring a level of talent, experience, and drive to contribute right away. Beyond their fencing abilities, they are excellent in the classroom and bring a passion and excitement that I can't wait to have join our program."

Northwestern is coming off a record-setting year after its sweep of the MFC Championships for the first time in program history, earning the Wildcats' second consecutive conference title. The Wildcats will return 27 of 32 fencers to the team next year including All-Americans Julia Falinska and Alyssa Chen
