Community Picnic and Movie Night Set for Aug. 3 at Ryan Field

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern Athletics in partnership with Northwestern University's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations will host a free showing of Disney's 'Incredibles 2' on Saturday, August 3 as part of its annual Community Picnic and Movie Night at Ryan Field.
Free Food and activities will begin at 3:30 p.m. followed by a screening of 'Incredibles 2' at 6:00 P.M. Admission is free as well as parking, available in the East and West Lots of Ryan Field.
This summer's Community Picnic includes a Kids Zone with bounce houses, face painting, and balloon twisting. The first 1,500 attendees will receive a free Northwestern blanket provided by Coca-Cola.
Festivities will conclude at 5:30 p.m. before the showing of 'Incredibles 2,' the story of a superhero family that is faced with the challenge of living a "normal" life. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and their friend, Frozone must find a way to work together again.
All attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows to the event, but lawn chairs and similar items will not be permitted on the field. Additionally, stroller parking will be available at the stadium free of charge.
