Roberts Qualifies for NCAA West Regional Prelims

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern junior Aubrey Roberts has qualified for the 2019 NCAA West Regional Prelims in the 5,000 meter.
Roberts earned All-American honors in the event with a 12th-place finish at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships after becoming the first NU female cross country All-American in the fall. She is seeking to become the first student-athlete in program history to earn three All-America honors in a season.
She will compete at the NCAA West Regional Prelims hosted by Sacramento State on May 23-25. The junior will need to finish in the top-12 at the prelims to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships June 5-6 in Austin, Texas. She is seeded 25th in the region with a season-best time of 16:05.26.
