Northwestern Announces 2019-20 Conference Opponents

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference released matchups for the 2019-20 conference slate on Wednesday. The 18-game schedule for Northwestern features five home-and-home series and eight games against opponents the Wildcats will see once, four at home and four on the road.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will play Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, and Illinois in home-and-home matchups next season.
The 'Cats will also welcome Purdue, Nebraska, Rutgers and Iowa to Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Next season's conference road matchups include trips to Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Game dates and times, TV assignments, non-conference opponents, and ticket information will be released at a later date.
Northwestern is coming off its fifth winning season in the last six years under head coach Joe McKeown after finishing the 2018-19 campaign with a 21-15 record. The Wildcats made an exciting postseason run in the WNIT, winning five straight matchups to advance to the title game in Tucson, Arizona.
