’Cats Get Back on the Track at a Pair of Meets on West Coast

EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern women's cross country program will kick off the outdoor track season at a pair of meets on the West Coast this weekend.
The Wildcats will participate in the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in Hayward, California, and the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto. Seven student-athletes will make the trip out west, including senior Isabel Seidel, junior Aubrey Roberts, junior Kelly O'Brien, junior Sarah Nicholson, sophomore Amanda Davis, first year Rachel McCardell and first year Sielle Kearney.

TEAM NOTES
• Roberts is coming off a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships earlier this month to become the program's first-ever indoor All-American.
• McCardell will be making her NU track debut; The first year did not compete during the indoor season and last competed at the at the NACAC Cross Country Championships in Trinidad and Tobago where she represented the United States.
• After this weekend, Northwestern's outdoor schedule includes five more meets before the NCAA West Regional Prelims in Sacramento, California, May 23-25.
