
'Cats Complete Sweep of Hoosier State with 5-2 win over Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — After topping Indiana, 5-2, yesterday, Northwestern completed a sweep of the Hoosier State by beating Purdue, 5-2, on Sunday.
The win improves the Wildcats to 9-5 on the campaign and 3-0 in league contests.
The Wildcats took the doubles point by winning at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Julie Byrne and Hannah McColgan picked up a thrilling 7-6 (6-0) win at the second spot, while Inci Ogut and Rheeya Doshi won, 6-2, at No. 3.
The Wildcats leaned on their No. 3-5 spots for the win. Caroline Pozo picked up a straight-sets victory, 6-3, 6-4. Rheeya Doshi and Carol Finke both rallied for victories. Doshi picked up a 1-6, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 5 singles, while Finke came out victorious with a 1-6, 7-6 (4-0), 6-2.
Lee Or won at the No. 3 position.
The Wildcats will take time off for finals and will return to action on March 27 at Rutgers.
