EVANSTON, Ill. – NU for Life has announced the six sophomore student-athletes that have been named this year's I-MAP Award recipients.
The Immersion, Mentorship and Actualization Program (I-MAP), was designed to provide a three to five day industry immersion program to help student-athletes build their professional network and allow them the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a professional field of interest.
The 2019 I-MAP Award winners are Christen Conley (Field Hockey/Healthcare Administration), Calypso Sheridan (Women's Swimming and Diving/ Computer Science and Technology), Jack Pagliarini (Baseball/ Prosthetics and Healthcare Consulting),Nia Robinson (Volleyball/Marking, Entrepreneurship and Sports), Joe Spivak (Football/Advertising, Sales and Sports) and Regan Steigleder (Soccer/ Environmental Science and Climate Change). The 2019 I-MAP class will include student-athletes from six different teams, with first time award winners from both baseball and women's swimming and diving.
In its third year of programming, the I-MAP experience connects current student-athletes with Northwestern alumni and supporters of Northwestern Athletics around the country through the help of NU for Life and the support and generosity of Kellogg School of Management alumnus, Michael Price.
Through programs such as I-MAP and the Alumni Mentorship program, NU for Life has been able to provide support to students-athletes and the resources necessary to excel professionally once they have completed their athletic careers. These resources are available to student-athletes when they arrive on campus and remain with them throughout their life.
