EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern hosts No. 12 Maryland on Tuesday for its Big Ten home opener. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT.

The Wildcats will be honoring head coach Joe McKeown prior to tip-off for earning his 700th career win earlier this month against East Carolina. He is the 13th active head coach in Division I women's basketball to do so.

Northwestern enters Tuesday's matchup at 11-1 and 1-0 in the Big Ten, riding a six-game winning streak after defeating Illinois, 77-50, on the road in the conference opener on Saturday.

The Wildcats are receiving seven votes in the latest AP Poll, and have an RPI of 16, which ranks third among all Big Ten teams.

In Saturday's matchup, junior guard Lindsey Pulliam led all scorers with 27 points on 11-22 shooting. It was the highest point-total any player has scored in a Northwestern game this season and Pulliam's best output since scoring 27 at Indiana on Jan. 18, 2019.

Senior center Abbie Wolf turned in one of her best performances of the season with her second double-double, coming on 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Sophomore guard Veronica Burton chipped in with a quadruple nickel of points, assists, rebounds, and steals, while Sydney Wood similarly stuffed the stat sheet with six points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

The Terrapins (9-2, 1-0) are the second ranked opponent Northwestern has faced this season after No. 16 DePaul on Dec. 1. Maryland opened Big Ten play on Saturday with a win over then-ranked Michigan.

Tuesday's game will be televised nationally on BTN. Lisa Byington and Shelley Till have the call.
