GOLF, Ill. — Northwestern senior Brooke Riley shot up the leaderboard behind a 3-under, 69, in the final round Tuesday to finish tied for 15th at the 12th annual Windy City Collegiate Classic.
Riley posted her second-straight top-15 finish with her second round in the 60s this season thanks to a strong finish that included a Eagle on the Par-5 eighth hole. The senior started on the back nine and stumbled with a bogey on the difficult Par-4 10th hole, but responded with a trio of birdies to make the turn at 1-under. She had another bogey on No. 2, but responded with a birdie on No. 6 and 20-foot putt for eagle on No. 8.
The Manteca, California, native took advantage of the par fives all week, leading the field in Par-5 scoring at 7-under. She finished the tournament even par, carding a 54-hole total of 216.
