2018-19 Nonconference Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. —
Northwestern women's basketball will play its first game at the new Welsh-Ryan Arena on November 11 against ACC foe Duke, head coach Joe McKeown announced Monday.

Wildcat fans will have the opportunity to experience the $110-million renovations to the Northwestern home arena for the first time against the Blue Devils, coached by NU alumna Joanne P. McCallie.

The additions to Welsh-Ryan Arena include new seating, wider concourses, new concession areas, as well as state-of-the-art lighting and audio/video capabilities.

After an exhibition against Lewis on November 4, the Wildcats start their season on the road against Green Bay on November 6 before returning for back-to-back home games, beginning with Duke.

On November 15, NU will face local foe UIC, led by former Northwestern assistant coach Tasha Pointer. The 'Cats will then travel to the Sunshine State to face off against Florida on November 18.

After returning to Evanston on November 25 to take on UT-Martin, the squad will face Pittsburgh in the ACC/B1G Challenge on November 29.

The 'Cats will stay local as they head into Chicago to visit city rival DePaul on December 5.

NU will return home for back-to-back games at Welsh-Ryan Arena, facing off against Marquette on December 9 and Chicago State on December 17.

At the end of December, Northwestern finishes its non-conference campaign at the Duel in the Desert in Las Vegas, Nevada, where it will face Wichita State on December 19 and Kansas or Washington State on December 20.

The Wildcats learned their conference opponents in April, but will find out dates and times in the near future. The 18-game conference schedule for Northwestern features five home-and-home series and eight games against opponents the Wildcats will see once, four at home and four on the road.
