EVANSTON, Ill. — A pair of future Wildcats have inked NLIs to join Northwestern wrestling in Fall 2018, head coach Matt Storniolo announced Thursday.

Jack Heyob (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) and Michael DeAugustino (Palm Coast, Fla./Flagler Palm Coast) will head to Evanston to wrestle for the Purple and White.

The duo, alongside the already-announced Erich Byelick (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland Prep), Lucas Davison (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton), Jack Jessen (Villa Park, Ill./Willowbrook), and Matt Vinci (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic), will form the Class of 2022.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Mike and Jack to our already stellar 2018 recruiting class," said Storniolo. "These young men strive for excellence in both the classroom and on the mat, making them ideal additions to our Wildcat Wrestling family."

DeAugustino was a Florida state runner-up at Flagler Palm Coast and a three-time district champion. He comes from a wrestling family, as his father and grandfather are members of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He will join a familiar face in the recruiting class, as he wrestled at the Central Florida Wrestling Academy with Erich Byelick.

Heyob also comes from a strong wrestling lineage, as his brother, Joe, was a two-time NCAA Qualifer with Penn, while his other brother, Ben, is a wrestler for Kent State. A four-year wrestler at St. Xavier, he was an Ohio state runner-up in 2018. He also played four years of rugby and three years of football.
