Pulliam Earns Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honor

EVANSTON, Ill. – Following a 23-point performance in Sunday's win over Rutgers first-year guard Lindsey Pulliam was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The Wildcats' picked up a 63-50 win over the Scarlet Knights at historic Beardsley Gym in the regular-season finale thanks in large part to Pulliam's 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting.
The scoring output was her third-highest of the season and the sixth time she has cleared the 20-point mark in her first season of college basketball. She added three rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in the victory.
Pulliam averaged 19.0 points per game over the past week. In addition to her performance against Rutgers, she also dropped 15 points at No. 14 Ohio State. The Northwestern newcomer continues to pace all Big Ten rookies with 14.6 points per game.
This is the second such honor for Pulliam, who was also named the conference's freshman of the week on Feb. 5.
Chicago's Big Ten Team begins Big Ten Tournament play Wednesday as the No. 12 seed when it matches up against No. 13 seed Wisconsin at 1:30 p.m. inside Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
