'Cats Head To South Bend For Alex Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Northwestern is set for its penultimate regular-season meet of the indoor track campaign, Saturday's Alex Wilson Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame at Loftus Sports Center.

A quintet of Wildcats will compete in three events during the afternoon in South Bend. Senior Sara Coffey will get things started for Northwestern at ~1:10 p.m. ET, running the Mile for the second straight weekend. Coffey is seeking to break the 5:00 mark in the event, after missing the mark by just three-tenths of a second last weekend at the Husky Invitational.
Sophomore MacKenzie Wilson will run in the 800M event at ~1:55 p.m. ET. The final race on the docket for the Wildcats will begin at ~2:30 p.m. ET, and the 3000M event will include seniors Haley Albers and Andi Ostenso, and sophomore Aubrey Roberts. Last weekend in Seattle, Albers shaved nearly a minute off her personal best in the 5K, finishing in 17:35.88.
The 'Cats will wrap up the regular-season on Feb. 25 at the Boston University Last Chance Meet.
