NU to Host Pair of Duals at Patten Gym, Ryan Fieldhouse

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern wrestling will host a pair of duals on campus this season, starting with a non-conference matchup against Old Dominion on Friday, December 7, at historic Patten Gym.
On February 23, 2019, the Wildcats will take on in-state opponent SIUE at the new Ryan Fieldhouse, with a truly unique opportunity to watch wrestling backed by the panoramic vistas of Lake Michigan.
NU hosted its 2017-18 duals at Patten Gym to great fanfare due to its intimacy and proximity to the student body.
The Wildcats have started the season strong and are currently ranked in No. 23 in the NWCA Coaches' Poll. The Wildcats knocked off No. 10 Virginia Tech in their home opener at the new Welsh-Ryan Arena, and Ryan Deakin (157 lbs.) and Sebastian Rivera (125 lbs.) notched first-place finishes at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Collegiate Wrestling Invitational this weekend.
