Four Northwestern Alums to Compete in NBA Summer League

EVANSTON, Ill. – A quartet of Northwestern men's basketball alums will represent the school when the Las Vegas portion of the NBA Summer League opens Friday.
A total of 24 teams will play three games apiece from July 8-13 before a bracket tournament will be held from July 14-18.
All games are being played at either the Thomas & Mack Center or the Cox Pavilion with each of the contests being televised by the ESPN family of networks.
Recently graduated center Alex Olah will play for the New Orleans Pelicans' outfit. The Pelicans open play at 9:30 p.m. Central time Friday with the contest being televised by ESPN. New Orleans also will appear on television at 9 p.m. Monday on ESPN2 when it faces off against Sacramento.
Guard Tre Demps, who also completed his last season of eligibility at NU in 2015-16, will suit up for the Chicago Bulls. Like New Orleans, the Bulls also will have two games televised: Sunday at 7:30 p.m. vs. Philadelphia (ESPN2) and Tuesday at 7 p.m. vs. San Antonio (ESPN).
Also making his Summer League debut is 2013 Northwestern graduate Reggie Hearn. A veteran of the NBA D-League the last two years, Hearn will play as a member of the D-League's Select Team after competing for the Reno Bighorns last season.
Returning to the Summer League for a third straight season is Drew Crawford who was a member of the Wildcats from 2010-14. Crawford will play for the Toronto Raptors' entry. He competed for Bnei Hertzeliyya in Israel during his second professional season in 2015-16.
