#B1GCats Wrap Regular Season Thursday At Dr. Keeler Invitational

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Nine Northwestern runners will compete in Thursday's Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College in Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. The event is the last of the outdoor track regular-season, a represents a final opportunity to earn an NCAA qualifying time.
Five Wildcats will compete in the 5,000m event, with three heats beginning at 6 p.m., 6:25 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. CT. Four 'Cats will be in the 10,000m field that takes the track for one heat at 8:45 p.m. CT.
Sophomore Kinsey Harmon will be part of the first 5,000m heat, with junior Elena Miller in Heat 2, and seniors Camille Blackman and Allison Jacobsen, and junior Ellen Schmitz in the latest section.
Thursday will be the first 5,000m race of the season for Harmon, who turned in Northwestern's fastest outdoor 3,000m time of the year at the Illinois Twilight. Blackman boasts the Wildcats fourth-fastest 5,000m performance of the outdoor campaign.
Senior Elena Barham, junior Andrea Ostenso, and sophomores Brooke Pigneri and Sara Coffey are among the 29 entries in the 10,000m event. Barham is the only Wildcats runner with a 10,000m time on her resume this year, a 35:52.4 performance at the San Francisco Distance Carnival.
Ostenso returned to competition at the Illinois Twilight and immediately ran the Wildcats fastest outdoor 5,000m time of the year (17:06.3).
Results for the Dr. Keeler Invitational will be available at the conclusion of each day's events here.
