Freshmen ‘Cats Welcomed to NU for Life, Wave of Opportunities Ahead

4/26/2016 3:58:00 PM | General, David G. Kabiller NU for Life Program

NU for Life welcomed freshman student-athletes to Welsh-Ryan Arena on Monday, April 11, for a tropical-themed event introducing them to the NU for Life Program.

The student-athletes participated in a series of competitive career-focused stations throughout the arena, featuring upperclassmen in the program and Wildcat alumni.

The event was designed to familiarize freshmen with the opportunities available to them through the program and to introduce them to skills that can be utilized outside of the classroom and in the professional workforce.

The freshman student-athletes also learned about the extensive alumni network associated with NU for Life and how they could reach out for job opportunities and even summer internships.

They also participated in an exercise where they looked at different outfits and categorized them into the proper attire for the workplace.

In what was the first event of many for the young student-athletes with NU for Life, they began their journey to make the most of the their professional potential through the incredible network at Northwestern University.
