Accolades continue to roll in for junior Nia Coffey as she was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Region 4 Team on Wednesday. The selection committee will select the 10-member Coaches' All-America Team from these 52 candidates and will announce the team at the Final Four.

Coffey, a co-captain for the Wildcats, recorded 19 20-plus points performances, including a season-high 31 points in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals against top-seeded Maryland. Coffey scored in double figures in 50-straight games, dating back to Jan. 22, 2015, for the third-best streak in program history and averaged a team-best 20.3 points per game. She led the Big Ten in double-doubles with 18 to tie an NU single-season record and is the only Big Ten player to rank among the league's top five in points (20.3 ppg), rebounds (9.8 ppg) and blocks (2.0 bpg).

The Minneapolis, Minnesota, natvie secured a spot on the All-B1G First Team (Media/Coaches) earlier this year. This marks the first WBCA All-Region distinction for Coffey.
