Pair of Meets On Tap for Wildcats this Weekend

EVANSTON, Ill. — Getting into the swing of the indoor track schedule, Northwestern will participate in a pair of meets this weekend. The 'Cats will participate in the the Windy City Invitational at UChicago and the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame on Saturday, Feb. 6.
Last time out, senior Elena Barham notched a second-place finish in the 3,000m event with her personal record of 10:09.36 at the Illini Classic. The next-closest Northwestern finisher was Allison Jacobsen, as she recorded a 13th-place finish in the race. In all, four Wildcats recorded personal records on the day.
This weekend, Barham will be traveling to Indiana to race the 3,000m event again at the Meyo Invitational. She will be the lone Northwestern participant in the meet. Live results will be available at DeltaTiming.com and the 3,000m event will be the first one on Saturday, at 8:45 a.m. CT.
The 'Cats will be sending ten runners to the Windy City Invitational and they will be running in both the one-mile and 800m events at UChicago. The action will begin at 11:30 a.m. CT, with the mile preceding the 800m run. After not participating in the fall cross country slate, junior Andrea Ostenso will be running at the meet this weekend.
These are the second and third events of the regular season indoor track campaign, before the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 11-12. In all, the 'Cats have five events in the indoor slate.
