EVANSTON, Ill. – Redshirt-freshman Anthony Rubinetti earned Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors after beating the first ranked opponent of his career in Northwestern's 33-10 win over SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday.

Rubinetti pinned Freddie Rodriguez, the No. 12 wrester in the country at 125 lbs., in the first period of the second match of the night to give the Wildcats a lead they would not relinquish.

The Northwestern freshman got down 6-0 in the early going but reversed Rodriguez and pinned him with just seconds remaining in the first period.
