EVANSTON, Ill. — The inaugural Northwestern Baseball Benefit has been scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the Doubletree – North Shore in Skokie, Ill., head coach Spencer Allen announced.
The event, which is in its first year, will be headlined by Chicago Cubs president of business operations Crane Kenney and first base coach Brandon Hyde, along with current Cubs bullpen catcher and Northwestern baseball alumnus Chad Noble.
Baseball legend Tom Paciorek will moderate the event that will provide attendees the opportunity to hear behind-the scenes stories, career highlights and expert advice from Chicago baseball legends.
In addition to the panel with the baseball legends, guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the 2017 Northwestern baseball team.

Crane Kenney
Kenney is the president of business operations for the World Series champion Chicago Cubs. He has been with the organization since 2009 when he was named president.
Brandon Hyde
Hyde is the first base coach for the World Series champion Chicago Cubs. Hyde joined the Cubs in 2013 as their director of player development before transitioning to his current role. He played professionally for the Chicago White Sox from 1997-2000. Hyde was a coach in the Marlins organization before joining on with the Cubs.
Chad Noble
Following his Northwestern baseball career (2007-10), Noble spent four seasons playing in the Chicago Cubs organization. He was offered the opportunity to become the club's bullpen catcher following the 2013 season and has been in the role ever since, including last season's World Series Championship run.
Tom Paciorek
Paciorek, a former outfielder and first baseman, played 18 seasons in the major leagues, four of which were with the Chicago White Sox. Following his playing career, Paciorek stepped into the broadcast booth and was the color commentator for the White Sox from 1988 to 1999. Last spring, the former major league all-star was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.
